Types of Marquee for Your Party Venue

There are different types of marquee available to you for your party venue. The two main Marquee designs are the traditional tents, mostly used for festivals and rallies, and the modular clearspan which is better suited to weddings, corporate and parties.

The Clearspan Marquee

The clearspan marquee is made up of an aluminium framework that does not require poles to support the centre of the roof, so you and your guests can move freely inside. The clearspan marquee gives you maximum use of the internal space, so no headaches with the table arrangement. Another benefit of the clearspan marquee is the absence of external guy ropes, meaning this type of marquee can be placed next to obstructions or joined on to buildings. Due to the self supporting nature of the clearspan marquee, it is easier to erect them in places where space is at a premium.

The modular design of this type of marquee means you still get the benefit of flexibility when it comes to size. You can have as many or as few bays added to give you the floor space that you require. The clearspan marquee is fully compatible with the installation of hardwood flooring, solid glazed doors and decorative linings as well as heating and lighting systems. This decor in this type of marquee can be easily adapted to create the correct party ambience.

The Traditional Tent Marquee

The traditional tent marquee gives you flexible and cost effective accommodation for festivals, rallies and shows. This type of tent style marquee has poles to hold up the centre of the roof and shorter poles around the edge to create the walls. The whole structure is held up by guy ropes that are situated around the outside of the marquee, then pulled under tension to large securing stakes that are hammered in to the ground.

Where as the clearspan marquee is self supporting, and can therefore be erected on a hard surface, the tent style marquee requires fixings in the ground to give the whole structure it's strength.

This type of marquee is compatible with party lighting, mat flooring systems and can also be heated.
