Swanage Jazz Festival

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

If you went down to Swanage last week you were sure to find a BIG surprise!

We had installed both our 9m marquees and 12m marquee for the 21st Swanage Jazz Festival which is held in several venues in the town as well as three temporary “superior” venues supplied by us.

Our marquees provided a venue for over 800 seated guests to enjoy all the different types of Jazz from New Orleans, Dixieland, swing, bop, and post bop, ‘contemporary’ and bands that simply defy classification.

The festival is a non profit making organisation run by a group of fans. Lots more information can be found at www.swanagejazz.org.uk

Other equipment supplied were changing room and ticket office marquees and Trestle Tables.

Mike’s Wedding in Studland

Sunday, June 6th, 2010

We are having a really busy week this week, and here is the first event for your viewing.

Mike got in touch with us earlier this year requiring a marquee with a separate catering area in a stunning location in Studland near Swanage overlooking Poole Harbour.

We installed our 12m range of marquees to accommodate 110 guests in comfort on our Limewash Chavari banqueting chairs and round tables. There was also a large open area used for reception drinks and later dancing and entertainment. Apart from our candelabras and mood lighting, the client also organised a large truss with lighting and smoke machines for his guests to enjoy.

Other equipment arranged and installed included coat rails, easel, trailer toilets, trailer generator with distribution and hardwood doors.

I’ll drink to this!

Its full steam ahead for the Swanage Railway’s beer festival this weekend.

We have installed our 9m range of clearspan fully equipped with matting, trestle tables and folding chairs for the beer festival which has been running for the past few years at Harmon’s Cross near Wareham.

There will be entertainment and over 50 real ales and ciders including the bottled real ale Manston Strong Premium Ale, especially brewed for Swanage Railway. There will also be hot food available and Purbeck Ice Cream.

Marquee Elegance are pleased to announce another booking for 2010! We will be supplying not one, not two, but FOUR structures to a local Folk Festival for their 2010 event. Thanks Steve for choosing us again to supply your event equipment.

In addition, our innovative wooden flooring system is being used to enable groups to dance in the largest tent on site.

Come and see the festival which runs throughout the whole town.
