Sunday, June 26th, 2011One Weekend – Five Wedding Venues Created
Tuesday, May 17th, 2011Last weekend saw team elegance creating five superior wedding venues in Dorset and Wiltshire. The elegance boys started off by delivering all the equipment necessary to create a superior wedding venue (apart from the tent itself) to Dean’s Court House in Wimborne. The team there has just started to hire out the house for weddings and functions this year and information can be found here (http://www.deanscourt.org/).
Next on our hit list was to install the venue for Richard and his bride to be at Birkin House (http://www.birkinhouse.com/), near Dorchester where we are lucky enough to be one of the main suppliers of marquees and event equipment. This marquee had a separate catering tent where Amanda, David and Louise from Merlins Catering (http://www.merlinscatering.co.uk/) were hard at work preparing a feast for the happy event. We also provided all the equipment for the Bar, including chillers and pumps and of course the lovely liquid itself!
Then we were back with Andrew and Alex over looking Poole harbour at Harry Warren House (http://www.harrywarrenhouse.com/) in Studland, this venue must be one of the best if you like your sea views! Aurelia instructed us to install the marquee to the side of the house, a new place for us, as we normally install the marquees in front of the house where its more level. No problem though, using our flooring system we managed, with the help of over 1500 pieces of packing wood, to level the floor and install the marquee. Another catering tent was professionally guttered and ducted to the main marquee and this time the team at Nomad catering (http://www.nomadfood.co.uk/food/) providing the delicious food.
Moving next to Nothe Fort in Weymouth (http://www.nothefort.org.uk/) and going from an unlevel site to a perfectly level parade ground, although this site still has it’s challenges, and one of them is not to use stakes to anchor the marquee so bang, load on the flooring system boys, another occasion where we were glad that we have invested so much into the flooring and are now the largest stockholder of this type of flooring in Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire! This time the hog roast food was provided by Posh Pigs (http://www.poshpigshogroast.com/)
Lastly, we went to Wiltshire for Becky to install her marquee at Gurston Farm, a new venue for us but the great thing there is that they have a hall which has a kitchen, bar and toilet facilities right next to where the marquee was sited avoiding the need to hire it all in. Best of all was the view to be had over the valley.
Elegance does Art
Tuesday, May 17th, 2011We were asked by successful art gallery company Black Sheep (http://www.blacksheepgalleries.com/) to provide an area where their guests could be welcomed and given a glass of champagne before coming into their Romsey shop and meeting the artist Fabian Perez. Due to the site restrictions, the largest marquee we could hire was our smallest, a 3m x 3m on our flooring system.” The event was so successful we had queues right down the high street” said a spokesman for Black Sheep.

Bournemouth Pier Challange!
Thursday, March 17th, 2011What a day today! talk about a challenge…
It has been in the planning for months but today saw the installation of one or our smaller marquees for the South West Baby Show at Bournemouth Pier where we hired a 6m clear span marquee for exhibitors and visitors to use. The first challenge was to get to site, after consulting lots of officials we slowly maneuvered our specialist vehicle around the back of the entrance to the pier and then with a few maneuvers lined up to go through between the turnstiles and the kiosk, a matter of inches either side. Creaking noises were to be heard as we drove along the pier to the very end where we finally got to where the marquee had to be installed.
The second challenge was how to install a marquee on a pier? – easy! use Marquee Elegance’s infamous flooring system to anchor the marquee safely in situ. Just to put some icing on the cake we fitted out the marquee in our corporate purple valances and the kind people of the show allowed us to leave our flag as well.

Old Alresford Place Wedding Fayre in Hampshire
Monday, March 14th, 2011The Marquee Elegance exhibition team was out and about at Old Alresford Place in Hampshire where once again we supported the venue in their wedding fayre by installing our demonstration marquee for brides and grooms to come and see.
A bright day was had and a steady flurry of people came and saw the fayre and we were fortunate enough to take details of many brides and their future weddings.

Garden Wedding Marquee
Tuesday, February 15th, 2011Congratulations to Pauline and John on their wedding which happened last weekend. We all hope you had a lovely day and was nice and warm in the marquee which we hired at their home in Southborne, Dorset.
As the garden just outside the patio doors had an unlevel surface and a slight raised concrete area, we installed our hardwood flooring to provide a level surface. As well as ivory linings with vivid purple valances, we hired lighting and furniture.

BIC Wedding Show 2011
Monday, February 7th, 2011Wow what another amazing weekend we had at the BIC Wedding Show 2011 held in Bournemouth, DORSET. For this exhibition we had pride of place right at the front of the show and what a start we provided for the show! as soon as you walked through the doors everyone knew they were coming to the largest wedding exhibition in the south.
We installed our 9m demo marquee in our corporate purple and white colours, even the carpet was colour coordinated just showing what can be done when you hire a marquee from us coupled with your imagination.
Also making their debut was our purple and white spandex table covers, coupled with our lovely lime wash chavari banqueting chairs. Our squared crockery looked fantastic against this.
We even debuted for the first time our nightsky laser which really worked well creating an amazing array of moving patterns on the roof and wall linings.
It just goes to show that we can even do more next time, when another exhibitor, Southbourne Florists (www.southbourneflorist.co.uk), walked past and said that the tables could do with some flowers. The very next day, lovely table centres appeared matching our colour theme! – Thanks very much Tracy!

Burrrrrrrr in Burton Bradstock!
Sunday, January 30th, 2011Just a quickie, we have now been able to stock an array of spandex table cloths to hire in lots of different colours!
We unveiled them in our demonstration marquee at the latest wedding exhibition in Burton Bradstock, near Bridport.
Melanie’s 40th Birthday Party Marquee
Saturday, January 22nd, 2011Lets get 2011 started and what better way than creating a venue for Melanie to celebrate her 40th Birthday Party.
Melanie asked us to install a marquee in her garden in Studland, Dorset which was on a slight slope, which is OK for the friendly pheasant but not so good for guests to dance on. No problem though, our lovely hardwood floor system once again proving invaluable. Once we had a level surface, we installed a 9m x 12m marquee complete with ivory linings throughout. Lighting was provided via black candelabras and LED colour washing up lighters. Other equipment that was hired was our new poseur tables (bar tables) and 4ft round tables & banqueting chairs; bar counters, coat rails and most importantly heating!
