Mai Tai New Year Eve’s Paty

Saturday, January 1st, 2011

Happy New Year firstly to everyone especially those who have helped us over the last year by providing us the opportunity to create venues; and our elegance boys and girls for their hard work in fulfilling our clients expectations.

We were asked by Andy, owner of Mai Tai in Ashley Cross, Poole and Brambles in Broadstone, Dorset to assist his company by hiring furniture at one of his establishments to enable more guests to be seated in the restaurant over this very busy festive period. At the same time at his other bar; to create an outdoor area over his decking so that an extra 60 + new years eve revellers could enjoy the party as well as those in the main bar!

The challenge of this marquee was the very complex different levels of the site, raised flowerbeds, being squeezed between two buildings and a bus shelter, not to mention the very strict Poole council officer who did not want us to encroach onto the pavement. Alas, after a few tense moments, we managed to install one of our 6m clear span marquees into position and everyone was happy!

Help! We have been let down by another marquee company…

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

As the title suggests we were called yesterday by Kalem requesting a marquee to be used as an extension to their house in Gosport, Hampshire for their Indian wedding celebrations this weekend after being let down by a less reliable company :@)

We jumped into action and within hours we emailed an order and received payment promptly afterwards. This enabled us to hire a 6m marquee with hardwood flooring, some scattered trestle tables and folding anthracite chairs plus a black candelabra the next morning.

The Elegance boys also wanted me to note that they appreciated the samosa’s and drinks!

Farewell Percy

Sunday, July 4th, 2010

We had a call from Dennis, who’s father Percy, had just passed away.  He wanted a superior venue for freinds and relatives to pay their respects in.

We provided a 6m Marquee complete with panoramic windows, trestle tables and table linen.

We installed the marquee close to his assisted flat near Christchurch, Dorset.

Buckhorn Western Cricket Club Ball

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

On a hot day in Buckhorn Western near Gillingham, we installed our 12m range marquee complete with a 6m extension to accommodate bar facilities for the local cricket club annual ball.

Of course, we also installed our innovative flooring system for the whole marquee, that’s over 240 boards to lay and 8 tonnes of equipment to install – all in one day! – once again a great job done by the Elegance boys.

We also installed our litedeck staging system, basic chandelier lighting and 200 anthrasite folding chairs.

The cricket club was founded in 1997 and if you are interested in playing then visit www.b-wcc.co.uk

Tank Fest

Monday, June 28th, 2010

We were pleased to assist Tim, a trader which attended this year’s Tank Fest at the Tank Museum in Bovington near Bere Regis, Dorset.

We installed our 6m range of marquee with some trestle tables.

An annual event in The Tank Museum’s calendar and the largest Armed Forces Day event in the region, this year’s Tankfest is gearing up to be the biggest yet with the Army’s contribution expected to attract in excess of last year’s 10,000 visitors.

In addition to a full programme of live tank action displays will be all the familiar highlights of Tankfest that have made it such a popular family event including living history camps, costumed re-enactors, the chance to meet serving soldiers plus a host of other activities and entertainment.
