Farmer Palmer in Elegance!

Sunday, May 8th, 2011

We were emoooooootional with the news that Poole Town Centre Partnership choose us to provide the venue for their Easter events in Falkland Square in Poole. We provided cover for Farmer Palmer to exhibit their animals right in the middle of town.

As we could not stake the marquee in the usual way, we used our hardwood flooring  system to safely site the marquee in place and provide a firm floor for Mr Palmer’s animals to walk on!

Happy Easter Everyone :@)

We don’t let walls stand in our way….

Saturday, April 30th, 2011

We were chosen to provide an extension to Peter’s home in Mudeford, Dorset for his birthday celebrations. Only one problem…… there was a wall in the way! but as one of our elegance boys Ashley says “we will tackle anything put in our way…when you hit a wall in life…just build a marquee over it!”

We also hired poseur/ bar tables, table linen and chairs.

Mini Marquee at Beaulieu

Sunday, April 17th, 2011

Once again we hired a stand at the Beaulie Boat Jumble in Hampshire, and as elegance boy Ashley says: “no job too big or small for us”

This is our smallest marquee, a whopping 3m x 3m and is great when you don’t have that much space but still require some cover. We have provided these for children’s parties and garden parties and can even be used as an entrance canopy to larger tents, all for as little as £95.

Party Marquee in Southbourne

Monday, April 11th, 2011

“With the recent heatwave the marquee came in really useful for some shade”, that’s the comments received when the elegance boys Ashley and Chris, turned up to collect our 3m marquee from a private property in Southborne, Dorset. Sue & Steve celebrated their birthdays and said goodbye to their friends before moving to Cornwall with a big party held at their home.

We provided a marquee as an extention to their home coupled with our innovative flooring system to level off the site especially where the drive dropped away towards the road.

We all wish you the best of luck for the future.

What a drop…..

Talbot Heath School 125th Anniversery

Monday, April 4th, 2011

Talbot Heath School in Bournemouth was 125 years young and last Friday saw the school celebrate this milestone by having a day full of events staring with a champagne reception followed by a concert played by the school’s own pupils in our marquee. As part of the commemorative events the school opened back up one of their own air raid shelters which were actually used in the war. The shelter has been refurbished to how it was back then to become part of a living history classroom and will be a permanent archive for the school. Other events that will be happening throughout the day will be hockey and tennis matches with pupils dressed in period dress and period rackets, a fashion show of the uniforms throughout the years and historical tours led by current and former pupils.

Baroness Shirley Williams will be opening the air raid shelter and the Quad, which has been given a new lease of life.

To cover all the guests coming to this special event we hired a very large marquee complete with our infamous levelled flooring system to provide a level surface for all ages to walk on, full linings with the school’s corporate Blue valances, hundreds of chairs and tables with white damask table cloths, plus a large stage, lighting, heating and power distribution equipment.

Interesting facts: there were over 350 boards laid on the floor, 30 tonnes of equipment delivered, 2 days to install by Chris and Nick and our newest member of elegance Kurtis.

A right Royal affair

We also displayed at the hotel our new spandex coloured table linen, so if your having your wedding reception at The Royal Bath and want that wow factor for your tables, you know where to ask!
